Affiliate & Sponsor Disclosure

Last updated August 2026.

Sunny & is free to read. Some of what we publish makes us money, and we would rather tell you exactly how than make you guess.

Affiliate links

Some links to products are affiliate links. If you buy something through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change the price you pay, and it never buys a mention: we write about things because we like them, and we say when we do not.

Any post containing affiliate links carries a disclosure at the top or bottom of the piece.

Sponsored posts

If a brand pays for a post, that post says so in the first line — “This post is sponsored by [Brand]” — and the corresponding social posts are marked #ad. Sponsors do not get to approve our opinions, and we turn down anything we would not recommend to a friend.

Gifted products

Sometimes a brand sends us something to try. Receiving a product for free does not guarantee coverage, and when we write about a gifted item we say that it was gifted.

Restaurants and places

We generally pay for our own meals. When a meal is comped or we are invited to a preview, the piece will say so.
